A line of trees at the base of fells viewed across Loweswater in the Lake District. This photograph was taken using monochrome infrared film, and shows the lightening effect this has on the foliage of deciduous trees. (The effect is far less evident on coniferous trees.)
This image is available as a limited edition print.
Giving the appearance of a dragons head resting on a river bank, this image is actually a piece of tree root, but reminded me of the song title Puff the magic dragon. The picture was photographed using infra-red film to increase the slightly surreal nature of the image.
A print of this image was selected to be part of the October 2010 exhibition shown by the Royal Photographic Society to commemorate the 100th anniversary of infrared photography.
Available as a limited edition print.
A pair of old wheels left to rust in a meadow in the Lake District. The slightly dreamy feel results from the use of infrared film.
